Memory Loss Causes - 5 Tips to Improve Your Memory

How many of us wish we could remember what we were just trying to remind ourselves of?
How many times have we been in a conversation and wished we could remember what we were trying to say?
I am sure there have been times where something good came to mind and we wish we could recall what it was. On that note, here are some tips to help us better our memory span.

The first way to help ourselves have better memory retention is to make sure we get plenty of rest. Doctor's will inform us that sleep deprivation is a cause of memory loss.
When we are not rested well enough, the thoughts in our head may start to run together. Therefore, we need to make sure we go to bed at a decent time. Also, during the day, if we work long hours, we should try taking power naps during our break periods.
Another great way to better our memory is to write down our tasks or assignments. Writing down what we need to do will help us to retain what we must accomplish.
We will also have a vision for our day or week. Then, we can use our notepad, calendar, or phone's memo pad to always refer back to what we need to do.
A great way to remember things is to rehearse our plans with others. My wife and I like to have a plan our day so we can know when we can have free time for each other.
Therefore, every morning and night we rehearse to each other what we need to accomplish and what we have accomplished.
This also makes for great conversation and future planning as we constantly recognize other things we can and need to do as well.
Another really helpful way to strengthen our memory is to exercise. When we exercise, oxygen goes to our brain and ironically leaves our head and mind with a refreshing feeling.
We feel energized, lively, and are ready to accomplish more as we feel quickened by our workout activities.
As we can now see, there are some easy steps we can take to better our memory. Therefore, let us get plenty of rest and exercise to keep our mind fresh and functioning.
Then, write down our tasks in a place we can quickly refer to and rehearse them with others. Doing these things will strengthen our memory, vision, and overall life.
